Micro-credentials do not count as credit towards a degree programme, however students are awarded a Certificate of Completion which they can use to demonstrate their new skills to employers.
We recommend completing your micro-credential within an eight-week window, however you can take up to one year to finish your course.
Micro-credentials are offered on-demand, so you can get started studying shortly after you’ve purchased your course.
You will receive a digital certificate on successfully completing your micro-credential. You can then print or share this with employers as needed.
There are no entry or language requirements for a micro-credential, so you can study these without having completed a bachelor’s degree (or any other qualification). Simply add the course to your basket, pay and get started studying.
Our micro-credentials are completed entirely online – you will not need a visa while you study with us.
Enrolling onto a micro-credential is easy. You just need to:
1. Search for and find your course
2. Click ‘Enrol’
3. Proceed to check out to purchase your course
4. Provide your personal and billing details
5. After 10–15 minutes, you will receive an email inviting you to log into your online learning environment, Canvas, where you can start studying your course.
There is no application process for a micro-credential, so you will not need to wait for a decision on your application. Simply add the course to your basket, pay and get started studying.
Micro-credentials are individual courses and not part of a programme. Once you complete your current course, you can purchase another one, or you can purchase multiple micro-credential courses and complete them alongside each other.
Fees for micro-credentials vary from course to course. You can find each course’s fee on its page.
There is no due date for payment of your micro-credential fees, however you will need to pay for your course in full to get your studies started.
You or your sponsor can pay for your course via debit/credit card after clicking ‘enrol’ on your chosen course.
You will need to pay for each micro-credential in full to access your course materials and start your studies. You can choose to study as many individual micro-credentials as you are able to however, in line with your budget.
You can pay your fees per micro-credential by credit or debit card.
You will have 14 days from the date you purchased your chosen micro-credential to request a refund, as long as you’ve not attempted to complete the assessment. You can request a refund via the Service Desk. You will need to include your full name, email address and date of purchase.
Unfortunately, postgraduate funding is not available for micro-credentials.

These courses are designed for independent study. You may however, have the opportunity to ‘ask an expert’, and be connected to a subject expert, in some courses.
Our micro-credentials are self-paced. How long you spend studying per week is up to you and the more hours you spend, the faster you will complete your course. We do however, recommend completing your course within an 8-week window where possible.
Each micro-credential includes a variety of learning activities. You should expect a mixture of reading, short videos, interactive eLearning and quizzes.
Learners must engage with each page in a course. This may include written assignments, quizzes and online exams.
You will have unlimited attempts to complete your final exam and receive your certificate of completion.
